Steve is a Senior Associate at PGC Legal and was admitted in 2008.
Steve is an experienced corporate, commercial, and estates lawyer. Steve spent 10 years working in-house for some of South Australia’s largest private companies across the retail, wine and franchising industries before moving to private practice.
When advising clients, Steve’s focus is to generate pragmatic and creative solutions. Steve considers both the short-term strategy of a matter and his clients’ long-term goals. Clients trust Steve to advise on optimal ownership structures, business exit strategies, and estate planning including wills and testamentary trusts, with a view to protecting their hard work and their family interests into the future.
Steve also considers the tax implications in commercial transactions and estate planning. Steve has advised clients on a broad range of practical tax issues including land tax, employee share schemes, capital gains on asset sales, and tax on overseas assets considering double tax agreements.

In addition to working for private companies, Steve owned a franchised business for 6 years and served on the board for a franchisee association during that time, which provided Steve with a strong understanding of the commercial and financial considerations that impact clients, and the realities of running a small business.
Steve also has a commitment to continued learning and completed his Master of Laws through the University of Melbourne.
